Microbiology is important & varied discipline that covers the vast majority of life forms on earth. The word Microbiology comes from Mikos meaning small. Microbiology describes the study of organisms that are usually invisible to naked eyes such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa etc. Microbiology are neatly on the interface between fundamental science & applied science and this degree caters to students with diverse interests.

Course Objectives:
Theory:
To acquaint the students with various aspects of basic and Applied Microbiology.
Practical:
To develop skills and competencies in standard Microbiological laboratory techniques.
After completing the course student will be able to-
Understand the basic principle of Microbiology
Identify & evaluate the common infectious agents and the diseases that they cause and help in the diagnosis.
Gain experiences in Laboratories practices and skills in the design and execution of Microbiology related research.
** For final year students coaching will be provided for upcoming higher education.

Eligibility:
Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology by recognized board/council. Admission will be through the selection test CET (Common Entrance Examination).
